Things I learned Today
Posted by admin on March 2nd, 2010 . Filed under: Uncategorized .Here is what I have learned today.
1. It takes about 2 1/2 weeks to get over whatever cold I had. I feel like a real girl again.
2. Sometimes days don’t turn out like you envision them in your head. I didn’t get a chance to do fun Dr. Seuss crafts with my child or eat Texas cookies. I did, however, get to do some Dr. Seuss stuff with my students.
3. I miss Coca Cola so bad. I would do anything for a Coke or a Dr. Pepper and yet I do nothing.
4. I got a call from my doctor’s office today. My bad cholesterol is low. Yay! My good cholesterol is low. Boo! My triglycerides are a tiny bit high. Boo! Solution? A fish oil pill. I already take one. Now what? Cut out sugar. Done a few months ago. And? What else? Exercise. I want to. I just can’t figure out when. I should get on that. Overall, I am pleased with these results. It could be so much worse. It means sacrifices pay off.
5. Cats will seek revenge.
6. I love to vote and I felt a kindred spirit with a woman in the parking lot of the school where we voted today. She was handing out pamphlets about husband who was running for office. I remember being that woman a few years ago. I couldn’t stand in parking lots to hand out stuff on election day because I had to be home with a tiny baby, but I did do plenty of stuff like that. Election day was such a sweet bitter day. Today our big girl helped her Daddy push the buttons to submit his vote. Cute stuff.
7. Recently, I am having trouble having a lunch I can take to school. I should really plan better.
8. I am worried for my movie future. Clearly, Mr. Mack and I have grown into different tastes in movies. I want to see Alice in Wonderland. He really does not want to see it. He dies with laughter at the trailer for that Hot Tub movie. Yikes.
9. Dr. Seuss’ father ran a zoo. Hence, If I Ran the Zoo.
10. Lost is an effed up show.

Yes, please elaborate on the cat seeking revenge. Glad you’re feeling better! And I never got into Lost, but I totally agree judging from the previews I see.
