A couple of irritating things on my mind today.

sick

1. I am tired of feeling like yuck. On February 11th I felt a sickness coming on and Mr. Mack was really sick so I went to the doc to try and beat it before it got worse. I have been taking meds and feeling crummy since then. My throat hurts so bad and I am trying not to swallow. My glands are swollen and I am exhausted at the end of the day. I wake up feeling pretty good. My day goes well. I am almost chipper at school and then all the mosters leave and the meetings are over, as I drive home, I begin to sink. I avoid speaking at home because it hurts. I am ready for bed almost immediately upon arrival. Yesterday, I went to bed at 8PM. I mean, under the covers, snoring by 8 PM. I am beginning to think I have mono. I am having a routine blood test tomorrow hopefully something that says you are sick and you need this to get well will turn up.

2. Bed wetting. WHAT. THE. HELL?????????????????????????

Missy Mack has wet the bed the last two nights. She has never done this. I thought it would be forever before we would give up the pull-ups. Several months ago, we ran out and we didn’t get new ones. It has been a dream come true. Perfect. Until two nights ago. Changing sheets and clothes in the middle of the night es muy no bueno. Nothing is different in our lives. No stress. I don’t get it. Any help, advice or word of encouragement would be appreciated.

di

3. DI- This stands for Destination Imagination. It is a big deal with school aged creative competitors in some places. I have always known of it and avoided it like the plague. It is a major commitment. I felt pressure to agree to volunteer for the team at my campus because they are required to have 2 volunteers or they are fined. The competition is this Saturday and I have just learned that I have to be in my spot at 7:15 AM. This place is 45 min. away from my house and being a one car family means that everyone will have to get up early to drop me off so that they will not be without a car for the day. And…. it last until 5 PM. What a whipping of day. PU. I am considering paying the money the team will be fined just so I can get out of it. Although, there is talk of the in-laws coming to town on Saturday so maybe a grueling day at a silly competition will be a better trade than spending the day with the in-laws.

words-with-friends

4. Words with Friends- I have a new addiction. My friend Christi, who was here last weekend, told me about this app on the iphone called Words with Friends. It is like virtual scrabble. She has a move and puts a word on the board. Then it sends the move to me. I get letters to play off of her words. It is crazy. So, if you have an iphone and like words games, let me know and we can start playing. Here is why I must rant about it. I suck at this game. I am getting better but I hate to lose. I am a LOSER. At this game and it sucks.

Well, I feel much better now. Thanks for letting me rant on for another week!

I hope you find something out with your blood tests! It really does suck to be sick and not know what is going on! Poor A1 has been dealing with that for months! Hope you are on the road to recovery very soon!

I feel sorry for you with the whole ID thing. I can’t think of a better way to spend your Saturday :)! I guess if it gets you out of a day with the in-laws maybe it won’t be so bad?? YUCK either way!

B spends an amazing amount of time playing that game! I swear every time I look up he is has phone in hand playing that game. He has like 4 or 5 games going on at once. I guess it is addicting. I haven’t started … watching B I don’t know where I would find the time!

I’m completely addicted to Words with Friends. I suck too. I got my butt kicked the other day by some random. 345-126…. Tell me how bad I suck now. Embarrassing really.

I hope you get to feeling better soon! That’s no good.

No experience with bed wetting yet, but hopefully it’s just a phase that will pass very, very quickly!

    Pay the fine!!! :)

It totally sounds like you have mono. Guarantee you do.

TM wet the bed last night. You are a better mom than I am, I just changed her and put her in bed with us. Stripped the sheets this morning. Honestly, there is nothing you can do. Just don’t put her back in Pull Ups. I’ve heard that will take you back to square one.
