I am Ready for the Weekend
Posted by admin on February 5th, 2010 . Filed under: Uncategorized .I am so looking forward to this weekend. We are headed for a little day trip to Saldo for my mom’s birthday.

This place is full of shopping. I have never been before but I know it will not disappoint. I just wish I had a few hundred dollars to blow just for fun. This would be the place to do it. Any suggestions for dining here, would highly be appreciated. This is a little town between Austin and Waco. It is quaint, shabby, chic and fun. We have been to a fun wedding there and I got a sample of the shopping delightfulness that day, but never spent anytime there until tomorrow.
The only problem is… we are ignoring the almost green crap that is slowing coming out of Missy Mack’s nose. Maybe if we don’t look directly at her it will go away. Or at least hold off until Sunday or Monday. We have plans here people.
Have a great weekend blogging world!

Don’t look directly at her. Problem solved!
Enjoy.

I think Missy Mack has whatever I had. It’s really hot. It should hopefully go away on it’s own…mine is starting to.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend trip and happy birthday to your mom!
(Happy SITS Sharefest also!)

Oh crap, I wish I would have read this sooner! I LOVE Salado!! My mom and I used to go at least once a month when I lived there. Now we visit when I am in town. My favorite favorite shop is Horsefeathers! Quite a few piece of furniture in my formal living room came from that place. I have bought tons and tons of nick nacks there too. They are pretty reasonably priced for Salado! I also really like Rosanky’s. That is where I got that island thing in my house in Austin. (Do you happen to remember that?)
My favorite place for lunch is Ambrosia Tea Room. You, your mom, and the Missy would love it too. John probably not so much… it is a very girly place. My mom and I (A1 too) eat here EVERY TIME we stop in Salado. I really haven’t eaten dinner there so I am not familiar with dinner time restaurants. My parents go almost every Christmas to Salado’s Christmas thing-y (I don’t remember what it is called), but they always eat at the Inn on the Creek.
Hope you had a good time. I can’t wait to hear what you thought about Salado!

Just loved this post… coming from SITS. Random, but are you going to Bloggy Boot Camp in Baltimore?

I want to make a trip to Salado so badly. Lots of fun furniture and antique stores! I keep saying I’m going to take a weekend for myself and go there and Round Top and all those places. Hasn’t happened yet.
Hope you guys had a great time. And hope the green crap with Missy Mack has cleared up!

Nope. No Baltimore for me. Have fun if you are going.

Thanks for the tips Momma. I did use some of them. Tea room was closed on Sunday so that was a no go. I remember you island! I can see where this would be a great place if you were looking for stuff for your house. Condo living doesn’t really lean toward house finds so that will have to be for another time. I thought Horsefeather’s prices were really reasonable and that was a really great store. Rosanky’s was closed before we could get there Saturday and was not opened on Sunday. My mom and I are planning to go to the Christmas thing. Thanks for the suggestions.
