Renting a four year old

Play with Missy Mack goes like this:
Missy: Mommy, you do this _________ (insert whatever make believe play she has instructed me to do)
Me: I do as instructed.
Missy: No, Mommy, you aren’t doing it right. You are suppossed to do it like _______________
Me: I try again, but better
Missy: You are NOT DOING IT RIGHT, MOMMY!!!!!
Me: I give up!!!!
Three seconds later, ‘Mommy, will you play with me? ( in the whinest voice you have ever heard)
This goes on and on. All day.
After gymnastics yesterday, I offered to bring home her friend Riley so her mom could go grocery shopping and the girls could play. It was heaven!! They went up stairs and played lovely together. Pure bliss.
Then today, we went over to our BFF’s house and the kids ate and played while the mommies had sushi, wine and conversation. Another fun day as the cruise director.
So, I have decided that I really want to have another four year old around. Why didn’t have have two at once??? Anyway, I will pay for Missy Mack to have a friend to keep her entertained on her terms.

I totally understand!! We live right across the street from another 4 year old and we let them entertain each other as much as they like. I am starting to wonder what the heck I am going to do once we move!! I LOVE that she has someone else to entertain her other than me. I just works better to have someone to play with that is your own age and thinks about the same way! Good luck and I hope you find some volunteers! Next summer the girls can switch living at each other’s houses and we will have nothing to worry about :)!!!!

I couldn’t agree with you more! That is the nice thing about my girls they play well together - well until Bia decides she doesn’t want to follow Chatty’s instructions!

You can borrow my five or two year old anytime your pretty little head wants to. Be my guest. You can keep them if you really like.
